c:\mplab\mpasmwin.exe
c:\program files\adobe\acrobat 5.0\reader\AcroRd32.exe
c:\mpasm\33014*.pdf

The first route above is that through which Microchip's MPASM assembly program can be accessed on one of the author's PCs. It relates to the MPASM V03.50 file extracted from the MPLAB IDE CD received from Microchip September 2004.

The second path is that at which the Acrobat Reader is held on the author's PCs.

The third is the path is that of the help file PDF document to be read by Acrobat.

On one of the author's PCs, the mpasmwin.exe file is held at:
c:\program files\mplab ide\mchip_tools\mpasmwin.exe

A path used by the author on yet another PC is:
c:\mpasm\mpasmwin.exe

Your PC's paths may be different, but it must have Acrobat, MPASM and its 33014g.PDF (or equivalent) already present. Any versions should be acceptable.

Locate your versions as discussed in TK3's published text, and amend the three routes at the top of this page accordingly. Then resave this text file under its own name (TK3MpasmRoute.txt). Do not change the file position or order of the routes.

If you do not already have MPASM it can be downloaded via Microchip's web site at www.microchip.com (it is probably in the MPLAB path). Acrobat is included on the EPE PIC Resources CD-ROM.
